I studied at the University of York, Department of Theatre, Film and Television, graduating in 2014 with First Class Honours in Writing, Directing and Performance; specialising in Theatre Design.

I am based in the East Midlands and work on projects with local and national companies as a freelance scenic artist, designer, maker and creative collaborator. I have a particular interest in accessibility and sustainable theatre-making; having worked with integrated actor ensembles and helping to start my own environmental theatre company. In the future I hope to further study Design at Masters level with a view to expand my practice professionally and also by teaching at university level.

The Bee Project is a show about friendship, the environment and care. It is a visual fusion of dance, movement and, using eco-friendly glitter, tells a story celebrating bees and small acts of revolt. It is a performance that invites audiences to look at how we can all create change, no matter how insignificant it may seem at first.

Combining beautifully observed choreography and a subversive look at how we view our local environments, the show finds entertaining ways to look at how we can care for our planet and everyone/thing we share it with. The design for the show packs down to fit into a suitcase to try and save on the carbon footprint when touring the production. All materials used in the show can be sourced in whatever city the company finds themselves in, and are completely bio-degradable.
