Staging Places
Menu
Staging Places celebrates the diversity of performance designs made locally, nationally and internationally by designers based throughout the UK across a wide range of spaces and genres. The exhibition shares their processes via set models, costumes, props, photos, drawings and videos and acknowledges the impact of their work on a wider sense of place-making and community.

Staging Places Education Offers

The Society of British Theatre Designers will be working in partnership with the team at NCCD from 19th September 2020 – 10th January 2021 to deliver a wraparound analogue and digital programme of education workshops and events in compliment to their gallery exhibition Staging Places: UK Design for Performance.

We will be offering an introductory talk for teachers, five bookable workshops for secondary school pupils and an INSET day that will allow you to explore and engage with the potential of design for performance in its broadest sense across the curriculum and to understand more about HE and career prospects for young people within the East Midlands.
